The Confederation of the Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB) established in 1990 is the biggest representative trade union organisation in Bulgaria representing the interests of about 380 000 workers and employees in Bulgaria. CITUB has been affiliated to ETUC and ITUC since1995. CITUB has 29 Regional Coordinating Councils in the country, 156 Municipal Trade Union Councils and affiliates 34 sector/branch federations, trade unions and 5 associated organisations unifying self-employed, farmers etc. The organization has an Institute for Social and Trade Union Research and participates in several NGOs: Workers' Education and Training College; Institute for Industrial Relations and Management "OKOM"; Public Women's Parliament; Youth Forum "21 Century".
Fondazione Di Vittorio (FDV) was established in 2001 with the aim of promoting the knowledge of the history of the Italy’s largest trade union CGIL and of the labour movement in Italy and worldwide. After a merging process, which incorporated in 2015, 4 former organisations (ABT, IRES-CGIL, ISF-CGIL, SMILE) promoted by CGIL, FDV is currently a single non-profit institute for historical, social, economic research and for trade union education and training supported by the Confederation. Subsequently, FDV takes over the long experience in the European projects’ management of the former organisations and is a member of a transnational level network focused on Industrial Relations, Social Dialogue, Collective bargaining, Information, consultation and participation of representatives of undertakings & EWCs. Thanks to an over 35 year-experience legacy, FDV also belongs to a consolidated transnational network of research and training organisations and academic centres.

Fundación 1 º de Mayo is a private, nonprofit organization, founded in 1988 by the Spanish Trade Union “Confederación Sindical de Comisiones Obreras”. Its main activities are to promote and develop studies, research debate on major social, economic and political issues that affect workers and topics such as: industrial relations; changes in production, technological and scientific labour market; equal opportunities; training; social protection; migration and integration of migrants; environment; and improving the quality of life. Foundation 1º de Mayo is member of different national and international networks, and founding member of the Trade Union related Research Institutes network (TURI).
Brief History
The Cyprus Workers Confederation-SEK, established in 1944, is one of the most important social partners in Cyprus within the framework of tripartite cooperation.
SEK represents through its affiliated unions, workers in all sectors of the country's economic activity. The mass of members comes from the private sector, but SEK also represents the majority of workers in semi-governmental utilities and services and local authorities, as well as blue-collar public employees.
The Bulgarian Industrial Association - Union of the Bulgarian Business (BIA) is a voluntary, non-profit and non-governmental organization of the Bulgarian industry, established on 25 April 1980. BIA is an umbrella organization with a matrix structure, vertically representing the branch (sector) oriented organization and horizontally the regional and municipal organizations.
